    De tous les secteurs de l’économie, le monde du droit semble être l’un des moins affectés par la révolution numérique. Pourtant, la matière juridique semble être particulièrement propice à l’émergence d’un moteur de recherche de type Google, tant les décisions de justice et les textes de loi sont émaillés de renvois et de liens les uns vers les autres. Dans ce contexte, l’utilisation de l’intelligence artificielle peut servir à rendre le droit plus accessible pour le justiciable et plus praticable pour les professionnels. Le moteur de recherche juridique Doctrine.fr met ainsi l’intelligence artificielle au service de l’humain, pour fournir une justice assistée, et non prédictive. Ce développement est cependant conditionné par la mise à disposition générale des données de justice brutes, et notamment des décisions, nécessaire au perfectionnement des outils déjà existants, et ce afin de garantir le rayonnement de l’économie et du modèle juridique français à l’international.

    The law seems to be among the sectors of the economy least affected by the digital revolution. Given that court decisions and texts of law are studded with references and links to other decisions and texts, the law seems to lend itself to the invention of a Google-like search engine. Artificial intelligence can thus make the law more accessible to litigants and more practicable for professionals. Doctrine.fr, a search engine for the law, places artificial intelligence at the service of people for the purpose not of providing predictive justice but, instead, of assisting justice. Its development depends on the general availability of raw data from judiciary sources (in particular court decisions). These data are necessary to perfect the tools for extending internationally the sway of the French economy and legal model.
